With an impressive 35 years of experience at Mountainside Dental, Michelle is originally from Michigan. Michelle is a highly dedicated and experienced dental professional. Her commitment to providing exceptional dental care has earned her the trust and respect of both colleagues and patients alike.
Michelle’s world revolves around her loving family. As a devoted mother of two boys and a girl, she has always prioritized their well-being and happiness. Additionally, she takes great joy in being Gigi to three delightful grandchildren, including two granddaughters and a grandson.
When not in the office, Michelle finds solace in the tranquility of the beach, often seeking its calming embrace to unwind and rejuvenate. Her love for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures has fueled her passion for travel.
Shannon
Registered Dental Hygienist
Meet Shannon, a proud Tucson native and a 2021 graduate of Pima Community College’s dental hygiene program. As a passionate advocate for oral health, she’s dedicated to educating patients about dental hygiene and the importance of a beautiful smile!
Shannon welcomed her first son with her husband last year and also has a trusty companion, Pepper, her four-legged sidekick. Shannon thrives in the company of her friends and family, and you’ll often find her making the most of these cherished moments.
Bielca
Registered Dental Hygienist
Bielca graduated from Pima Community College in 2015. She enjoys educating and helping patients always improve in their oral care.
Bielca is married and has 3 children. She loves spending time with her family. She is also a wonderful baker and enjoys baking and decorating cakes for family birthdays.
Laura
Dental Assistant
Laura is a highly experienced dental assistant with an impressive 21-year career in the dental field. Born and raised in the scenic state of Connecticut, she has dedicated her life to helping patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health. Her expertise, gentle touch, and caring demeanor make her a valued member of the dental community.
Outside of her professional life, Laura’s heart belongs to her loving family. She is the proud mother of a 14-year-old daughter who is the center of her world. In addition to her daughter, Julia, Laura shares her home with two cherished dogs Chico and Luna.
Laura’s commitment to her family, both human and canine, is a testament to her nurturing and compassionate nature, which extends not only to her work in dentistry but also to her role as a devoted mother and pet owner.
Theresa
Front Office Manager
As the front office manager, I take pride in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our patients. With an impressive 30 years of dental experience, 24 of those right here at Mountainside Dental, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice.
Originally from California, I relocated here over 26 years ago. I have been married for over 35 years and have 2 grown daughters and 7 grandchildren who are my pride and joy. When I am not spending quality time with my family I enjoy a good book, cooking new recipes, and hiking when it is not too hot.
I believe that a personal touch is essential in the dental office. I take the time to get to know our patients and their concerns, ensuring that we provide tailored care and support.
D.J.
Dental Assistant
D.J. has been a dental assistant since 2012. Working at Mountainside Dental has increased his knowledge and experience with all aspects of dentistry. One area, in particular, is becoming an implant specialist. This allows us to provide more options to patients requiring tooth replacement.
D.J. was born in California and his family moved to Tucson in 1995 and has lived here ever since. D.J. loves playing football and can be found at local parks training. When D.J. isn’t playing football, he enjoys spending time with his family. His parents, brother, and 2 sisters still live in Arizona. They are extremely close and try to get together at least once a month. Other hobbies include writing, fantasy fiction, video games, and anime.
Patty
Registered Dental Hygienist
Patty is originally from Seattle but has lived in Arizona for 16 years. She has been married for 35 years and she has a son, Dane who is 22. Patty graduated in 1989 and practiced for 7 years in Southern California before coming to AZ. She loves to travel and all that goes with it. She loves live music, theater, restaurants, and bowling. Patty has been an avid Cyclist for 40 years and a yoga enthusiast of 9 years.
Martine
Dental Assistant
In 2018, Martine made the move from Utah to Tucson. Since then, she has had a great time getting to know all the great and amazing patients and coworkers that make up Mountainside Dental Care.
In her off work time she enjoys being with family, reading, watching movies and listening to music. She and her husband love traveling/being on the road and cooking just as much as they enjoy eating.
Sophia
Front Office Reception
Originally from Tucson, Sophia grew up in New Jersey. Sophia is an experienced dental receptionist with 8 years of dedicated service in the field. She has been with Mountainside Dental Care since 2019. During her time in the dental industry, she developed a deep understanding of patient care and the ins and outs of dental insurance. In addition to her work as a dental receptionist, Sophia is currently in school to become a dental hygienist.
Sophia enjoys spending time with her Fiancé and is a proud fur mom to two pugs and a bulldog. Some of her favorite activities include hiking, cooking and trying new restaurants.
Melanie

Outside of the dental office, Melanie is a proud mother of two daughters. One of her children resides in Huntington Beach, California, continuing to flourish in their community, while the other is pursuing a Ph.D. in Colorado. Melanie’s dedication to her family and the success of her children reflects her nurturing and caring nature, which extends to her patients in our dental office.

Avvi is a true Tucson native who has made her mark as a dental assistant in the city. Avvi’s outgoing and welcoming personality has made her a perfect fit for Mountainside Dental Care.
When she’s not busy at work, you might spot Avvi on the picturesque trails of Tumamoc Hill. Hiking is one of her favorite pastimes, and she relishes the connection to nature and the exercise it provides. At home, she shares her space with her beloved cat, and her two older brothers.
